3rd stop of Ford Kite Cup in Poland
This was the 3rd stop of a well known Polish Tour called Ford Kite Cup.
I arrived at the event straight from Rhodos. I had an epic training over there and
managed to learn some new tricks and as usual pushed the limit.
After a warm windy summer in Greece I was suprised the weather was pretty similar in Poland,
unfortunately the first day of the event didn’t overwhelm us with wind, so there was just a couple of lame races.
The next day started off pretty early, and early means at 6 o clock so I was tired the whole day.
We stood there till 10 o clock in rain and low temprature waiting for the wind.
This day was a lucky one, cause the wind picked up for a small 10 m kite and managed to stay there
to the end of the day. I had some super nice heats, in which I sticked some pretty decent moves.
I moved all the way up to the final unfortunately for the first time in a couple of years i lost it.
When I heard the result my gut flipped over.
Fortunately there was enough wind to do the duble elimination which allows the riders to have a second chance.
Again after a couple of heats I was in the final with the same guy.
This time a was on fire sticking two duble handel passes and 4 tricks on the first tag in the first 2 minutes,
so I still had plenty of time to win the first final.
Than we had the second final, in which I did pretty similar things and won the event.
In the end I am really happy I managed to win the event,
and I am really grateful to all my sponsors for supporting me.
Cheers Victor Borsuk
